VIRAL: Woman verbally attacks OFW in Hong Kong

A suspected Hongkong national verbally attacked an unidentified Filipina domestic helper, as seen on a 5-minute video that went viral on Facebook, which was uploaded by a certain Mel C. Santiago.

The woman repeatedly shouted and pointed her finger at the Filipino domestic helper bringing her ward and two dogs at the park at the same time, saying it was inappropriate.

“Why you bring the baby together with the dog!” the woman said.

The Filipina defended herself when the unidentified woman shouted: “You shut up! You are just a helper, okay?”

The Filipina responded, “Why should I shut up? Do not put your hands [on] me!”

The woman said that dogs the Filipina brought with her “are always barking” and bit one of her own dogs. She then demanded the Filipina to call her boss.

“Ask your boss come here I tell him the rules. Or you give your number I call your boss, OK? Call your boss now! Ask him to come here now! I’m telling you, are wrong! [When you] take care of the baby you bring your two dogs, and your dogs… always keep barking, you should control your dog,” she said.

The Filipino maid was calling her boss when the local woman said, “You actually should not be a helper, you know. If I’m a boss I would fire you. You have really bad attitude.”

“You should go back to the Philippines! Bad attitude, bad helper!” the local woman shouted to which the Filipina replied, “Thank you.”

The said video has now garnered more than 1.2 million views and 17,000 shares on Facebook.

In an interview with ” rel=”noopener” target=”_blank”>CNN Philippines, ACTS OFW Party-list Representative John Bertiz said that Hongkong has a very strong rule against racial discrimination and human rights violation but it will be up to the Filipino domestic worker if she will file charges.
