Filipino-American tech entrepreneur Garrett Gee made headlines when he sold his company Scan Inc. to Snapchat for a whopping AED 198.34 million and used it to travel around the world with his family.
His family, which he called “The Bucket List Family”, already went to different countries and experienced various culture and traditions around the world.
Despite this, the 28-year-old millionaire hasn’t visited the Philippines yet, where his mother came from.
Garrett said that despite having all the money he can, part of him is still missing and he hopes that discovering his Filipino roots can help finding this missing piece of him.

“I am in a stage of my life where I want to know where I came from. Part of me desires more connections in my life. Part of me hopes that visiting the Philippines would fill that hole inside me,” he said.
Garrett, together with his sister Mirisiti, embarks a self-discovery journey in first season of “Discovering Routes”.
Just like her brother, Mirisiti hasn’t been in the Philippines either and is excited for the adventures they will experience.
“Discovering Routes” will premiere on September 7.

This is really sad as his mother should have been responsible enough to have taken him and other siblings to the Philippines over a period of time growing up.
