Did you know that you can find the first smog-free tower in Abu Dhabi?
The Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi (EAD), in partnership with Modon, has successfully inaugurated the first-ever purification tower at Al Hudayriyat Island in Abu Dhabi. This tower is designed to enhance the air quality in the area and reduce the effects of climate change.
The tower is seven metres high and can purify the surrounding air, cleaning 30,000 m3 air per hour. Thanks to its environmentally friendly positive ionization technology, it can produce smog-free air in public spaces, giving clean air for people to breathe.
Several high-standing people attended the inauguration, including the Vice Chairman of EAD and Chairman of EAD’s Executive Committee, His Excellency Mohamed Ahmed Al Bowardi. The Chairman of the Department of Community Development, His Excellency Dr Mugheer Khamis Al Khaili, was also present, as well as the Managing Director of EAD herself, Her Excellency Razan Khalifa Al Mubarak.
Other prominent people, the Secretary General of EAD Her Excellency Dr Shaikha Al Dhaheri, Modon’s Managing Director Abdulla Al Sahi, and Modon’s CEO, Bill O’Regan also graced the inauguration with their presence.
