Amid supply chain woes, tech giant Apple Inc. has introduce its new sets of iPhone models and gadgets.
The new iPhone 14 models are capable of using satellites to send emergency messages and an adventure-focused Ultra Watch for sports like diving and triathlons according to a Reuters report.
The outdoor-focused products will test whether Apple’s relatively affluent customer base will still purchase their newly launched products despite rising inflation.
Apple’s decision to remove the notch off the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max and replace it with a pill-shaped punch hole confirmed the rumors. #iPhone14Pro, #iPhone14ProMax, #iPhone14Newshttps://t.co/gh79RwA7yl pic.twitter.com/ITuYD7Enh8

The iPhone 14 models will have the same price with previous models like iPhone 13. Apple also dropped its cheapest model now cost $100.
The new phone models will be availavle on September 16. The iPhone 14 will start at $799 and the iPhone Plus at $899 and be available for preorder starting Sept. 9.
The iPhone Pro will cost $999 and the iPhone Pro Max $1,099.
“It’s interesting that they decided to essentially maintain pricing despite inflationary pressure. The decision or the strategy is Apple believes that it can sustain margins by discontinuing a lower-priced device in the lineup,” D.A. Davidson analyst Tom Forte told Reuters.
Apple said that it’s satellite SOS will work in emergency situations even without internet connectivity. The new feature can also activate FindMy in areas without signal.
