Reelectionist senator Risa Hontiveros is the lone candidate from the opposition slate to enter the senatorial race’s Magic 12.
Hontiveros, who ran under the Akbayan party, is at No. 11 in the Senate race, garnering 15,019,206. This is as of 8:45 AM accounting for 96 percent of the election returns.
Hontiveros placed 8th in the senatorial race in 2016.

The majority of the Magic 12 senators came from the slate of Bongbong Marcos and Sara Duterte’s UniTeam.
In 2019, no one fron the opposition slate ‘Otso Direcho’ made it to the senate.
