UAE authorities have recalled Kinder Surprise Uovo Maxi chocolate from the market over reports of salmonella infection.
The Ministry of Climate Change and Environment (MOCCAE) recalled the chocolate from the UAE market after salmonella in several European countries was linked to the consumption of Kinder chocolate products.
UAE’s National Rapid Alert System for Food said two batches of Kinder Surprise Uovo Maxi Chocolate 100g sourced from one factory in Belgium remain affected.
The Ferrero Group, the manufacturer of Kinder, has withdrawn “certain batches of Kinder Surprise Maxi 100g products manufactured in Belgium and which expire on October 1, 2022, from the UAE and Qatar markets as a precautionary measure.”
