A spectacular fireworks display, shopping discounts at major malls and hotels, and a AED500,000 raffle draw will mark the UAE’s Golden Jubilee celebrations in the emirate of Dubai.
Patriotic displays of national pride alongside world-class entertainment at the city’s iconic landmark destinations will also feature.
The slew of special events and offers will run from December 2 to 11, in several locations across the city.
This year’s National Day celebrations are being organized by Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE).
Fireworks
To ring in the golden celebrations, Dubai will be organising firework displays on the National Day weekend.
The locations are: The Pointe and Atlantis, The Palm, Bluewaters Island, Etisalat Beach Canteen, La Mer, and Burj Al Arab between 8pm and 9pm on December 2 and 3.
Live concerts
Live performances, engaging activities for children, beachside dining, concerts starring some of the most prolific singing sensations from the UAE and the Middle East are some other lineups.
Burj Park will feature singers Hussain Al Jassmi, Diana Haddad and Dalia Mubarak on December 2. Another live performance on December 3 will feature Eidha Menhali and Shamma Hamdan.
Shopping sale
Residents can enjoy shopping discounts of up to 70 percent at various malls including Majid Al Futtaim malls, Dubai Festival City Mall, The Dubai Mall, and Dubai Outlet Mall.
AED500,000 raffle draw
