Abu Dhabi installs 700 new radars to monitor traffic lanes, main roads

Abu Dhabi has intensified its road monitoring program by installing more radars and high-resolution cameras to ensure safe commuting.

IDEMIA, the global leader in augmented identity, and Alliance Traffic Systems, a leading traffic management solutions provider, have been tapped by the Abu Dhabi Police to implement enhanced technology solutions for road safety.

More than 700 traffic enforcement and management solutions – IDEMIA’s MESTAfusion technology – will be installed across the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

This is aimed to improve safety on roads with the MESTAfusion being used for multi-target tracking radar and a high-resolution camera performing perfectly over multiple traffic lanes.
