‘No survivors’: military helicopter crashes in Bukidnon

A military helicopter with 7 people on board crashed in Bukidnon on Saturday afternoon.

Major Rodulfo Cordero, public affairs chief of the 4th Infantry Division, there were no survivors.

The official said that the UH1H helicopter was supposed to deliver supplies to the Philippine Army’s 8th Brigade patrol base.

The helicopter was flying toward the mountainous area of Impasugong town from Malaybalay city when the chopper encountered engine trouble at around 2:30 in the afternoon.

He added that the pilot attempted to maneuver to safety but lost control of the helicopter crashed in Barangay Bulonay.

The official said that there were  2 pilots, 2 crew members, a member of the Philippine Army and 2 CAFGU members aboard the helicopter.

“Wala pong survivor. Medyo mataas po ang pagbagsak,” Cordero said in a statement to reporters.

The official said that the military were already able to recover the remains.

“Na-recover na po ang mga labi. Nasa punerarya na po sila ngayon sa Malaybalay,” Cordero said. (TDT)
