Authorities in Sulu have confirmed that an explosion took place at Jolo, Sulu on Monday, August 24.
Photos circulating on social media show the aftermath with black smoke rising from Food Paradise in front of Plaza Rizal.
Other photos show that the military has already been dispatched to check the area.
Officials have yet to confirm any casualties and individuals injured due to the explosion.
