The emirate of Sharjah announced the reopening of cinemas, auction houses, entertainment centres, valet services and fitness facilities, with 50 percent capacity.
Sharjah’s Economic Development Department (SEDD) said that these facilities must follow the necessary safety guidelines, such as taking temperature checks, providing visitors with sanitisers, and ensuring safety distance of 2 meters, reported WAM.
However, some services remain close, including massage, sauna and distribution of newspapers and magazines.
The development comes as part of the gradual reopening of business activities nationwide.
Meanwhile, under the directives of the Sharjah Executive Council, the Sharjah Directorate of Human Resources (SDHR) has announced that up to 50 percent of the Sharjah Government employees will be allowed to return to their workplaces starting June 28, 2020.
In a circular, SDHR stated that medical tests, in coordination with the Ministry of Health, would be conducted on the employees returning to work.
