COVID-19 cases in PH reach 200 mark, death toll now at 17

The Department of Health has announced on Wednesday that there are 15 new confirmed coronavirus cases or COVID-19 cases in the country bringing the total to 202.
The DOH also said that three more people died from the virus, bringing the total to 17.
One of the fatalities is patient PH201, a 58-year-old Filipino male from Lanao del Sur who traveled to Malaysia.

He was confined at the Amai Pakpak Medical Center on March 10, and died seven days later due to acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) secondary to COVID-19. PH201 also had diabetes.
The second new fatality is PH57, a 65-year-old Filipino male from Pasig City who recently traveled to London. He died on March 17 due to ARDS and pneumonia.
The third new fatality is PH160, an 86-year-old Filipino female from San Juan City. The patient does not have any travel history or exposure to a known COVID-19 case.

She tested positive for COVID-19 on March 16. She died on a day later due to “septic shock second to pneumonia-high risk secondary to COVID-19”.
The total number of recoveries from COVID-19 remains at 17.
