Senate President Tito Sotto III clarified that there won’t be any kind of ‘special treatment’ on the franchise renewal bid issue of television giant ABS-CBN.
The statement comes after reports that the Senate has cancelled a plenary session to make way to a committee hearing set on Monday.

Hindi totoo ‘yun,” Sotto said in an interview with DWIZ.
The senator added that there is fair treatment across all TV networks.

The Senate leader also added that the plenary session was cancelled on Monday because the period of amendments are not yet ready.
The Senate session will continue on Wednesday (Feb. 26) since February 25 is a holiday.
Senator Grace Poe will lead the senate hearing.
