TV host Boy Abunda could not hold his emotions as he addressed the issue hounding the possibility of not renewing ABS-CBN’s franchise.
On Monday, Solicitor General Jose Calida has filed a quo warranto petition at the Supreme Court asking for the revocation of the network’s franchise due to violations of the constitution.

On his talk show “Tonight with Boy Abunda,” he revealed what his late mother would always tell him.
“Ang aking ina ay pumanaw noong December 1, 2019. Noon, kapag tinatanong po ako ng nanay ko tuwing napapabalita ang prangkisa ng ABS-CBN, sinasabi ng nanay, sana huwag ipasara ang ABS-CBN kasi kapag wala ka sa bahay, ito ang kasama ko,” he said.

Abunda was emotional recalling how his mother loved ABS-CBN just like millions of Filipinos and families in the country and in different parts of the world.

“Para sa aking ina, kapag nakikita niya ang ABS-CBN, alam niyang safe ako. Nandiyan ako, nagtratrabaho ako at uuwi ako sa kanya,” he said.
Abunda has been with the Kapamilya network for two decades.
