Robredo to release drug war report late December or January

After deferring the release of her drug war report twice, Vice President Leni Robredo said that she would release the report late December or January next year.

Robredo first postponed the release of her findings during the Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games) so that athletes could focus on the regional meet.

The Vice President then set the release of the report on December 16 but was forced to postpone it again because of a magnitude 6.9 earthquake that rocked Davao Del Sur.

Pero kapag hindi talaga, kapag hindi natapos iyong sakuna, baka early January, after the New Year,” the Vice President said on her radio show.

Robredo said that her report does not mean to scare but to help in solving the gaps in the government’s drug war.

She added that she’s offering solutions in addressing the gaps.

Robredo was appointed as co-chair of the Inter-Agency Committee on Anti-Illegal Drugs (ICAD) last month.

The President, however, fired her after more than two weeks over her supposed ‘missteps’ in executing her post.

Robredo said that she did her best in doing her job as anti-drug czar, she even submitted reports to Malacañang, but was ignored.
