Dubai Police have launched an online portal where residents can check if they have pending criminal status including financial cases recorded in police stations or judicial authorities.
“Through #DubaiPolice website, users can inquire about their criminal status in financial cases, as well as travel bans, registered in #Dubai_Police stations or judicial authorities in #Dubai,” the Dubai Police said in a tweet.
The website will help residents who could potentially be held at airports due to their current legal status or liability.
This would also help travelers to find out if authorities have imposed a travel ban on them on cases involving financial complaints.

The website which was launched last year is free of charge and would save a passenger hassle and embarrassment from being held at the airport.
A passenger only needs to enter his Emirates ID number and mobile number to check on his records.
Abu Dhabi also launched a similar online portal where residents can check if they are facing any cases against them.
