You may want to refrain from eating shellfish from parts of Palawan, Western Samar, Surigao del Sur, and Bohol as an alert for red tide toxins was raised there.
The Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) has issued Shellfish Bulletin No. 14 warning the public that shellfish collected there turned up for paralytic shellfish poison beyond the regulatory limit. (Link to bulletin:

BFAR named the following areas as included in the list:
1. Puerto Princesa Bay, Palawan
2. San Pedro, Maqueda, Irong-irong, Silanga and Cambatutay Bays in Western Samar
3. Lianga Bay in Surigao del Sur
4. Coastal waters of Dauis and Tagbilaran City in Bohol
“All types of shellfish and alamang (Acetes sp.) from these areas are not safe for human consumption,” BFAR said in its bulletin.
However, fish, squids, shrimps, and crabs are safe to eat “provided that they are fresh and washed thoroughly, and internal organs such as gills and intestines are removed before cooking”.
