Kapuso TV host and journalist Rhea Santos gave her farewell message on daily morning show ‘Unang Hirit’ on Wednesday.
The UH host couldn’t hold back her tears as he expressed her gratitude to her supporters and her home network for 19 years.
Santos is also leaving her magazine and biography show ‘Tunay na Buhay’.
The seasoned journalist and host from the Kapuso network said that she will go back to studying again and will pursue another dream with her family as they move to Canada.
“Ipinagdasal po namin ito at ibinigay sa amin kaya malakas po ‘yong loob ko talaga dahil alam kong kaya ko at kasama ko ang aking pamilya,” Santos emotionally said.
She then thanked her UH bosses for entrusting her the opportunity to be part of the morning barkada.
“I’ll take this opportunity na rin po siyempre para magpasalamat sa GMA sa tiwala. Salamat sa mga katrabaho na mga naging kaibigan at kapamilya ko na po. Higit sa lahat salamat sa inyo mga Kapuso na nagbukas ng kanilang tahanan para papasukin po ako tuwing umaga sa loob ng 19 na taon,” she added.
Santos first appeared in UH in 2001 and was reassigned to the evening newscast ‘Frontpage’ as segment host in 2003.
She became a host for the defunt public affairs shows ‘At Your Service Star Power’ and ‘Pinoy Abroad’ that features the lives of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs).
