A magnitude 5.0 quake rocked parts of Southern Leyte early Sunday morning.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) said that the quake happened at 3:00 am. The epicenter was located at Limasawa, Leyte.
PHIVOLCS said that the quake was tectonic in origin and had a depth of focus of 30 kilometers.
Cebu City and Mambajao, Camiguin felt Intensity III.
Intensity II was felt in Palo, Leyte. No damage was recorded and expected, but aftershocks can still be felt.
