The twitterverse exploded this weekend when the ‘Queen of Rap’ Nicki Minaj gave several of her fans the chance to go to college by paying for their tuition and student loans.
Minaj’s generosity-fueled bonanza started from a Billboard contest she posted on her twitter profile that one of her followers responded to with “Well you wanna pay for my tuition?”
The 34-year old wanting in on the idea responded to the tweet saying, “Show me straight A’s that I can verify w/ur school and I’ll pay it. Who wants to join THAT contest?!?!,” she said on Saturday night, remarking that she was “Dead serious…”
One fan even asked the award winning rapper for a grand to which Nicki responded “That’s it? I’ll send it tmrw. dm me ur bank info babe. Next!”
The hip-hop icon spent 45 minutes responding and asking her chosen beneficiaries for specifics.
Sunday night, the lucky students started seeing the cash flow into their bank accounts according to a report from TMZ.
