Foreigners who plan to spend time with their Filipino spouse or kids in the Philippines are now required to secure a visa before they are allowed entry to the country.
Resolution No. 60 of the Inter Agency Task Force for the management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) stated that the new measure is effective immediately and covers the following individuals:
– Foreign spouses of Filipino nationals, regardless of nationality
– Foreign minor children and foreign children with special needs, regardless of age of Filipino national and
– Foreign parents of minor Filipino children and of Filipino children with special needs regardless of age.

Authorities state that the measure covers former Filipinos who are not dual citizens and belong to the aforementioned categories.
Furthermore, foreign spouses and parents/children are also required to show proof of marriage, filiation with proof of the citizenship of the Filipino spouse or parent/child.
They will also need to present proof that the Filipino spouse or parent/child will be traveling with them or is already in the Philippines.
