Highest temperature in UAE reaches 49.1°C

The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) announced on Twitter that weather across the UAE today, July 10, is expected to be hot in general and hazy at times.

Yesterday, the hottest temperature in the country was recorded at 49.1°C in Um Azimul.

The weather bureau said there will be some low cloud formation over eastern areas, which may become convective by afternoon.

NCM also warned residents of the possibility of blowing dust due to light to moderate winds over exposed areas.

Relative humidity is also expected to increase by nighttime over some coastal and internal areas with a probability of mist formation.


Meanwhile, NCM released an advisory regarding the continuity of fresh winds and rough seas in the Arabian Gulf. On the other hand, sea current in the Oman Sea is expected to be slight to moderate.


NCM also released the weather forecast for the coming days.
