Yahoo users have been experiencing website crashes leading to email outages worldwide.
Website DownDetector said that the issues have started affecting users at around 7:38 in the morning.
The reasons for the outage remain unclear but majority of users said that the problem was with the website while almost half of the users say they have difficulty in logging in.
“You may not be able to access some of our services, including email. Our top priority right now is getting this fixed. We appreciate your patience,” Yahoo said in a tweet.
Netizens shared their frustration online, with some complaining that it’s bad timing because it’s football season.
“This is so annoying and bizarre that Yahoo mail is also down wonder if this is some sort of cyber attack on email systems?,” another user said.
