A new set of rules in Dubai pertaining to flying non-registered drones for commercial purposes and other aerial activities without any license will have inflictors pay a fine between Dh2,000 and Dh20,000.
As per the resolution, anyone who seeks to carry out an activity in the aviation sector in Dubai is required to get a license from the DCAA, revealed The Khaleej Times in a recent article.
Licenses issued are valid for a renewable period of one year. The application for renewal should be submitted at least 30 days before the expiry of the license.
The new law is currently in motion following the go ahead signal from HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council last Thursday.
