Two one-way airline tickets have been donated to the Philippine Consulate General in Dubai and Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) Dubai by Filipino group, FEME (Filipino Excellence in the Middle East) Connect.
The ticket donated to PCG will be given to a financially challenged individual through the Assistance to Nationals (ATN) section, while the ticket for POLO-OWWA will be given to a distressed ward currently staying at the POLO-OWWA shelter.
Philippine Consul General Paul Raymund Cortes and Labor Attache Felicitas Bay will be receiving one-way PAL ticket each from the proponents of the FEME Connect Directory represented by veteran freelance broadcast journalist Rachel Salinel and Dagaz HR Consultancy Managing Director Cristina Calaguian.
“The FEME donation was courtesy of Philippine Airlines. We are awaiting the ticket from PAL. Other entities and people also donate plane tickets for the wards like the Filipino community, faith based organizations and from private companies. They donate during certain instances like the anniversary of an organization or company,” Bay said, commenting about the donations for POLO Dubai.
A third one-way PAL ticket will also be turned over by Salinel to the CFC-SocDev group.
The FEME Connect Directory is a social enterprise where a portion of its profit is given back to the community.
