Visually impaired Pinoy to graduate with honors

The human spirit inspires courage amid bullets that life fires our way.

Abdulaziz Dapilin, a 20-year-old-student from Western Mindanao State University is a living testament to this.

Dapilin who was born with Marfan syndrome, a disorder in the body’s connective tissue which caused blindness in his right eye, and now deteriorates his left eye, will graduate cum laude in the degree of Bachelor of Elementary Education major in Special Education this year.

“I praise Allah upon all conditions, for blessing me with a kind of disability that have caused encouragement and success rather than discouragement and failure,” posted the young boy on his Facebook account.

Dapilin strolls the campus just like any student but he depends a lot on his laptop, which has a special app that serves as his notebook. -KCO
