A 9-year-old Emirati boy donated his savings worth Dh100,000 to help the UAE to combat the spread of coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
Mohammed Hamid Abdul Hakeem decided to contribute his savings to the UAE which came to his aid when he needs it the most, Emarat Al Youm reported.
The child who hails from Ajman was born in 2011 with a heart condition that required urgent rare heart surgery.
His parents sought the help of the UAE government, which did not hesitate to help the child. He was flown overseas to undergo cardiac operation.
The kid returned to the country after recovering from the surgery and was able to live his life like a normal child.
Mohammed said this is his way of returning the favor that the UAE has given to him and a testament of his love for the UAE’s leadership.
In a video, Mohammed expressed his gratitude to President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
He also conveyed his dream to meet His Highness Sheikh Khalifa along with His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
