A 95-year-old man from Mandaluyong City recovered from coronavirus disease (COVID-19) on Easter Sunday.
Cresencio Junio was discharged from Mandaluyong City Medical Center after contracting the highly contagious virus.
In a Facebook post by Mandaluyong City Mayor Menchie Abalos, Lolo Cresencio was seen in his wheelchair holding a paper that read: “I’m a 95Y/O COVID-19 survivor.”
He was being greeted by nurses and staff as he leaves the hospital.
“Maligayang pasko ng pagkabuhay, isang Pagasa ang ibinigay sa atin ni lolo Cresencio Junio na isang 95yrs old na naka-recover sa COVID-19,” Abalos wrote on her post.
Lolo Cresencio adds up to the recoveries of the city which now stands at 23.
Meanwhile, the Mandaluyong logged 162 confirmed cases with 17 deaths while it reported 441 suspected cases of COVID-19 including 17 deaths.
