Sharjah-based real estate firm grants free rent to tenants for 45-days

A Sharjah-based real estate developer offered a 45-day rent waiver to help its tenants address the economic impact of coronavirus pandemic.
The decision was sought due to the adverse effects of coronavirus across the world, Arabian Business reported.

Sultan bin Ali Al Owais Real Estate develops properties to rent, owns and operates a portfolio of more than 3,000 properties across the UAE.
“Tenants that have been with us for decades are practically family for us,” Haleema Al Owais, chief executive officer of Sultan bin Ali al Owais Real Estate, said.

“While battling the spread of COVID-19 is the responsibility of every UAE resident through social distancing and other measures, we just want to make sure that our tenants have one less thing to worry about during these difficult times,” she added.
The real estate firm, which was established in 1972, operates as a conglomerate with all functions of rental real estate including facilities management and security under its own umbrella through its offices in Dubai and Sharjah.
