A European national was arrested by Dubai Police after he ignored the instructions of a police patrol.
The young man was caught after he posted a video in which he is seen at a beach which violated a government order of avoiding public spaces as a preventive measure against the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

According to a tweet by the Dubai Media Office, the European also seemed to “mock the precautionary measures” issued by the health authorities.
“The General Command of the Dubai Police warns that residents must comply with the directives issued by the security entities, be they local or federal. If safeguards for public health are violated, residents will be held accountable and face legal measures,” the statement from Dubai Police said.

Last March 21, UAE issued an order closing certain public places, including beaches.
The public are also urged to avoid public places to contain the COVID-19 spread.
