COVID-19 patient from Quezon City missing, says mayor

The Quezon City government is looking for a man who was diagnosed with COVID-19 patient that allegedly escaped hospital, ABS-CBN News reported.
Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte said the man went to Cardinal Santos Medical Center (CSMC) to check if he contracted the disease.
She said the man provided an address in Barangay Tandang Sora, but when authorities came, he was nowhere to be found.
Napakaimportanteng mahanap natin siya because now we have a positive patient on the loose and we know how dangerous this disease is and we really have to get him back into our custody,” Belmonte said.
It is still unclear how he managed to leave the hospital.
The city government already sent medical officers to CSMC and the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM) to know whether the patient went there.
An intensified community quarantine was placed in parts of Barangay Tandang Sora and Kalusugan, where two cases of COVID-19 were recorded.
There are now 29 cases of COVID-19 in Quezon City.
