DOH reports 29 new COVID-19 cases in PH, death toll now at 11

The Department of Health in the Philippines has confirmed that there are now 29 new confirmed coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases in the country, bringing the total to 140. 
 
Three new fatalities were also recorded as of press time, which brings the total to 11.

Among the new fatalities includes the patient with the identification of PH9. He was an 86-year-old American male from Marikina City. 
 
The patient had a travel history to the United States and South Korea. He had multiple organ failure and several pre-existing conditions before contracting the virus.

Another fatality is PH54. He was a 49-year-old male, no travel history and no exposure to people who tested positive for the virus. He had pre-existing conditions prior to acquiring the virus.
 
The last recorded fatality was a 64-year-old man from Negros Oriental. He had a travel history to Greenhills where other patients possibly acquired the virus.
