San Juan City Police conducted a dry-run of lockdown scenario on Thursday, GMA News reported.
San Juan Police chief Police Colonel Jaime Santos explained that the dry-run is a proactive measure to curb the spread of coronavirus.

He also clarified that National Capital Region Police Office had yet to impose restrictions on movements of people.
Around 90 to 150 police officers were deployed to monitor the boundaries of the city for the dry run, which lasted for an hour.

Santos added that dry-run is similar to simulation conducted on riding-in-tandems.
The city of San Juan recorded 8 cases of COVID-19 as of Thursday.
