France’s Louvre Museum is temporarily closed for tourists beginning Sunday for fear that workers may get contaminated.
In a report by Associated Press, it said that there is still no known infection among its 2,300 workers.
Andre Sacristin, a Louvre employee and union representative, said they worry since the museum welcomes millions of visitors.
Last year, it had 9.6 million visitors with almost three-quarters of them coming from abroad.
However, a short statement from the Louvre said the scheduled opening was stopped after they conducted a staff meeting about virus prevention efforts.
On its website, it still said that the museum has not opened on Monday, March 2.

Their meeting was also done following a French government decision on Saturday to ban the indoor public gatherings of more than 5,000 people.
Italy has already 1,600 coronavirus cases with 34 deaths.
