DFA Undersecretary for Civilian Security and Consular Concerns Brigido ‘Dodo’ Dulay said 14 Filipinos who were sent back to the Philippines are victims of human trafficking.
The Philippine Consulate in Dubai secured the exit clearances and settled the immigration penalties of the 14 OFWs.
The DFA Office of Undersecretary Migrant Workers’ Affairs, meanwhile, paid their plane tickets.

“From Wuhan to Dubai, @DFAPHL works to reunite families and loved ones,” Dulay wrote in his tweet.
Two days ago, 72 distressed OFWs from Beirut were also repatriated. They include grandmothers, women, and children as well as victims of human trafficking.
