Seven Filipinos in Hong Kong 'quarantined' after exposure to COVID-19

The Philippine Consulate in Hong Kong has confirmed that seven Filipinos were placed under quarantine because of their possible exposure to the new coronavirus or COVID-19.
“As of 16 Feb 2020, a total of seven (7) Filipinos had been quarantined after being contact traced by the HK Health Department to individuals that tested positive for COVID-19. All are asymptomatic and healthy,” the PH Consulate in HK said in a statement.

Of the 7 Filipinos, 3 have been released after undergoing the mandatory 14-day quarantine at the Quarantine Center.
The Filipino workers have since returned to their respective places of employment.

The remaining 4 Filipinos currently under quarantine remain healthy and asymptomatic.
Consul General Raly Tejada said that there is no reported Filipino who tested positive for COVID-19 in Hong Kong.
