A Filipino seafarer on board a cruise ship in Japan was among the 10 people who tested positive for the novel coronavirus.
None of the 10 showed severe symptoms. Other individuals who tested positive for the virus include three people from Japan, three people from Hong Kong, two people from Australia, and one from the United States as per a report from Reuters.

Around 3,700 people face a two-week quarantine on the cruise liner anchored off Japan.
Japan’s coast guard transferred the infected patients to hospitals. Authorities placed the remaining passengers of the Carnival Corp Ship in quarantine.
“I want to take sufficient care of the health of passengers and crew and make every effort to prevent the spread of the virus,” Japan Health Minister Katsunobu Kato told reporters.

That health official said that authorities would continue to monitor the remaining passengers and crew for the potential development of symptoms.
More samples will be taken from the cruise ship passengers.
