WHO EMRO to provide millions of 2019-nCoV protective equipment to Philippines, 30 other countries

The World Health Organization Eastern Mediterranean Regional Office (WHO EMRO) is sending infection prevention and control materials for the 2019 novel coronavirus acute respiratory disease (2019-nCoV ARD) to different priority countries.
They will be sending gloves, masks, gowns, and sanitizers for up to 6,000 health workers.

In a tweet, WHO EMRO said they are giving this out to 12 priority countries in the World Health Organization Western Pacific, 9 priority countries in World Health Organization South-East Asia and 10 priority countries in their region.
The first flight took off from their Dubai regional hub on Monday en route to the Philippines.

There will also be an additional 7 million examination gloves, 5 million surgical masks, and 1 million gowns to support the health response to 2019-nCoV ARD to protect health workers as they identify, diagnose and treat patients.
