An Asian housemaid stole two gold rings worth nearly Dh15,000 from her employers in Dubai and later told police she did so to help a man in need.
The employing family from another Gulf country reported the maid to the police after suspecting she was behind the disappearance of the two rings.

The family informed the police after the maid went out a few times without permission just two days after the rings disappeared.
Newspapers said the maid later confessed to stealing the rings to help an Asian friend who was in bad need for money.

“She told police that she did not take the rings for herself but to help a man who needs money badly due to some problems he faced,” Al Bayan daily said.
