Filipinos in UAE lauded the efforts of the Emirates Red Crescent that will sending a delegation to the Philippines as a response the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, to provide aid for the victims of the Taal volcano eruption.
The video from Emirates Red Crescent on The Filipino Times Facebook page has garnered close to 2,000 reactions on social media, many of which were thankful for the UAE’s initiative to help Filipinos during their time of need.
Netizen Beck Millares said that the UAE continues to be blessed with its heart of service that provides help for Filipinos and other countries in need.
Several other netizens hope that the aid coming from the UAE will reach far flung areas especially from areas where they come from.
Philippine Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, H.E. Hjayceelyn M. Quintana met with Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) Secretary-General Dr. Muhammad Atiq Al-Falahi together with ERC officials at the Emirates Red Crescent Headquarters in Abu Dhabi to discuss plans on the humanitarian mission that the UAE will be spearheading for victims of the Taal volcano eruption.
