Government of Tagaytay eyes normal business operations this weekend

The government of Tagaytay has mulled the reopening of business operations in the holiday city of Cavite by the end of the week.
Officials implied that several travelers have been coming to see the active volcano.
“Ang dami na rin pumupunta, nagtake ng pictures ng volcano, so I think more tourists will be coming soon. It’s safe naman na,” Mayor Agnes Tolentino said to GMA News on Wednesday.
However, the Department of Tourism (DOT) prohibited the usual operation of the businesses as it can pose health risks among tourists and residents.
Despite the notice of the agency, some have already reopened their shops while others began cleaning their homes due to ashfall.
The government and the inhabitants hoped that sightseers would still want to witness the Taal volcano despite its unrest.
The entire province of Cavite, where Tagaytay City is situated, is currently under the state of calamity.
