The Province of Cavite announced that it’s now under a state of calamity on Jan 15 because of the damages from the ash fall of Taal Volcano’s eruption.
Cavite Vice Governor Jolo Revilla declared the announcement on Facebook
“Ang Sangguniang Panlalawigan ng Cavite ay nagkaroon ng special session para buuin at aprubahan ang resolusyon na nagsasabi na ang buong lalawigan ng Cavite ay nasa State of Calamity dahil sa epektong dulot ng pagsabog ng bulkang Taal,” Revilla said.
The Vice Governor of Cavite urged residents of Cavite to be cautious and always keep themselves updated on official news and announcements.
The government helped the local residents living within the 14-kilometer radius of the volcano to evacuate immediately
