BREAKING: Grenade explosion hits Camp Aguinaldo

The Armed Forces of the Philippines has confirmed that a grenade exploded within the military’s general headquarters in Camp Aguinaldo in Quezon City. 
 
The blast that took place in Staff Sergeant Larry De Guzman’s apartment unit around 6:00 am injured the soldier, his wife, and his 11-year-old son who were immediately brought to V.Luna Hospital for immediate medical attention. 
De Guzman sustained bruises, but his 5-year-old daughter was safe. The AFP said that they rendering the necessary assistance to the family. 
 
AFP Spokesperson Brigadier General Edgard Arevalo said that they will issue a statement and more details on the blast. 
 
“An explosion purportedly from a hand grenade happened  inside a military quarters occupied by an Enlisted Personnel assigned at the Home Affairs Office at General Headquarters and Headquarters Service Command in Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City,@ Arevalo said in a statement.
 
The military is now looking at possible domestic angle because of a heated argument between the couple prior to the blast.
