Two people were dead while 28 were hurt in a road accident in Antipolo City, Rizal on Thursday afternoon.
Authorities said that the passenger jeepney en route to Sitio Pantay was passing through the highway when it lost its brake and crashed into bamboos.
Antipolo Police officer-in-charge Lieutenant Colonel Alvin Concepcion said that the jeepney passed on the road which was closed to public vehicles for being an accident-prone.
Concepcion explained that the road was dangerous to vehicles since it is steep and has blind spots.
The said road serves as shortcut for drivers who wanted to avoid traffic and shorten their travel time.
The jeepney driver, who sustained bruises and wounds from the accident, will face charges of reckless imprudence resulting to double homicide and multiple physical injuries.
