JUST IN: Another magnitude 4.6 quake hits Davao del Sur

Another earthquake struck Magsaysay, Davao Del Sur just an hour ago.

According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs), the magnitude of the earthquake was 4.6 with a depth of 21 kilometers.

It was recorded at 2:07 p.m.

Intensity V was felt in Hagonoy, Davao del Sur, Intensity IV in Davao City, Intensity III in Kidapawan City, and Intensity I in Kiamba, Sarangani.

In a report on Monday by GMA News’ 24 Oras, the Magsaysay town hall in Davao del Sur can no longer be used.

The concrete walls, glass windows, and the metal furring was destroyed by the quake.

According to Mayor Arthur Davin, the earthquake that hit them on Sunday was stronger and lasted longer.

Other government structures like their local police and fire stations, municipal emergency services building, and multipurpose hall had to be abandoned after it was also damaged by the quake.
