A barangay official died following another strong quake this morning in parts of Mindanao.
The barangay official was identified in the report as Barangay Capt. Cesar Bangot of Brgy. Batasan, Makilala, Cotabato.
Bangot died after their barangay hall collapsed following the powerful 6.5-magnitude earthquake this morning.
This, as several buildings previously damaged by the strong earthquake in the area also collapsed.
In Davao City, cracks were visible on some units of Ecoland 4000 Condominium, which also suffered damage during the previous earthquake.
Photos from the Davao City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO) showed Mayor Sara Duterte conducting inspection at the building.
She also brought disaster responders to assist those who were wounded from the falling debris from the condo unit.
In Kidapawan City, a portion of the facade of Eva’s Hotel collapsed after it was also previously damaged by the strong quake on Monday.
According to Phivolcs, the strong quake was recorded at 9:11 a.m. with the same epicenter in Tulunan town, North Cotabato.
