Senators see no concern on Duterte back pain

Some senators are not deeply concerned about President Rodrigo Duterte’s back pain.

Senator Ronald Dela Rosa said the public should not be concerned about the President’s health.

“Wala ‘yan! Malayo pa ‘yan sa bituka. Concern lang ‘yan doon sa mga gustong magpapaalis sa kanya sa puwesto,” Dela Rosa told GMA News.

The neophyte senator added that the President does need to issue a medical bulletin every time he feels ill.

“Siya na nga mismo nag-release ng info about his health, what more do we need to know from him? Magsasabi rin naman ‘yan siya sa publiko if he is about to die so I think there’s no need for a medical bulletin,” Dela Rosa added.

Sen. Sonny Angara said the President seems to do his presidential functions well and the public is constantly being updated by Sen.Bong Go.

Go has assured there is nothing to worry about Duterte’s health despite having to cut his trip in Japan short reportedly due to unbearable pain.

In a press conference held Wednesday this week, Go said Duterte underwent Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI).

“Nagpa-MRI sya. Wala naman pong nakitang dapat ikabahala. Sabi ng mga doktor nya, mga expert, mga neurosurgeon doctors nya before pa, wala po dapat ikabahala. Purely muscle spasm,” Go told reporters. (TN)
