A 17-year-old girl from Palo, Leyte has filed charges against an American national who allegedly tried to have sex with her after a drinking session.
Thirty-four-year-old Nadeer Haleem, a native of Raleigh, North Carolina, USA, allegedly invited the girl to drink at past midnight.
She asked if she could leave after two hours of drinking and go home but the foreigner stopped her and tried having sex with her.
When she refused, the American allegedly mauled her. The girl sustained bruises all over her body.
The American man is now detained at the Catbalogan Police Station.
