Abu Dhabi’s Umm Al Emarat Park will be charging visitors double the price to see the famous tourist spot starting next week.
Starting Sunday, September 1, park fees will change from Dh5 to Dh10 according to the park management.
“Dear park lovers, to further expand our offerings and better serve our friends and neighbours from across the community, ticket prices will change to Dh10 starting September 1,” the park said.
The park management said that they will be using proceeds from the surged prices will be allotted for park facility maintenance and on expanding its offerings.
“We are currently in the process of renovating some of our park facilities including the water activation as well as changes to the animal barn which is set to reopen in the coming months,” the park said.
Some new features will be added to the park in the coming months too, details of which will be announced at a later time.
The park is open from 8am to 12am daily and spans 14.5 hectares and is one of the most popular green havens in Abu Dhabi for tourists and residents alike.
Umm Al Emarat Park opened its doors to the public in 1982 and one of the largest known parks in the Middle East.
