DUBAI: Ice cream cravings apparently got a hold of her.
Chinese media, Jiangsu Television (JSTV), has reported an incident that police now call a case about choices – that of ice cream or a boyfriend. The report has been making headlines from Britain to South Africa and elsewhere around the world.
A woman, identified in news reports only by her surname, Wang got incensed when her boyfriend, known only by his surname, Zhang, prevented her from buying ice cream, saying she was already overweight.
The JSTV report, citing witnesses, said the woman, annoyed by her boyfriend’s remarks, went to a store, bought a pair of scissors and got back to stab him.
The two, who have just been 20 days into their relationship, have been shopping.
Zhang died at the hospital, reports stated. The incident happened at Zhumadian, a city in central China’s Henan Province.
